Andrew Marr’s – The Making of Modern Britain
From the death of Queen Victoria to the end of the Second World War is a paltry space of time…a mere 44 years. Yet, in that time, Britain was shaken from top to toe – society changed beyond all recognition, woman got the vote, democracy came of age and the country fought two apocalyptic world wars defending it. Dark, funny and often surprising, these were the years that made modern Britain.
Andrew Marr tells a story with great gusto and, as such, the music can be quite robust when accompanying him. Dramatic, epic, quirky, period, weird…many styles are to be found here.
Most of the orchestral tracks were recorded with the City of Prague Orchestra, with the smaller groups being recorded in the comfort of the ECG studios.
